Answers to common questions about M&M Disposal services.
General
How do I find my pickup day?
Log on to your account at mmdisposal.onlineportal.us.com to view your scheduled pickup day.
Do you pick up on holidays?
We are generally closed when the landfill is closed. Service still happens during holiday weeks, but days shift — typically about 1 day behind schedule. We are closed on: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Where will my dumpster be placed?
We try to place the dumpster where it works best for both you and our drivers. Keep in mind our trucks are large and cannot make tight turns. Some special accommodations may be possible for an additional $10/month fee.
Can I put a lock on my dumpster?
Yes — you may use your own lock (chain, padlock, etc.). It must be unlocked on your service day. We can also provide a locking mechanism for $10/month; you provide your own lock for that option.
Billing & Payment
What deposit is required to start service?
A deposit equal to one month's service in advance, plus payment for the current month, is required. The deposit is refundable after 12 months of good standing, or it can be applied to your last month's service.
How do I set up bank draft or credit/debit card payments?
You can set up automatic bank draft or card payments through our customer portal at mmdisposal.onlineportal.us.com.
How do I receive and pay my invoice?
Invoices are processed at the beginning of the month and are due by the 10th. You'll receive a monthly yellow postcard invoice by mail. You can also receive invoices and pay via the web portal, by calling us, bringing payment to the office, or using the night drop box (no cash in the drop box).
What happens if my account becomes delinquent?
Service continues for 1.5 months after the due date. If still unpaid, the dumpster will not be serviced until payment is received. We must receive payment at least 48 hours before your service day. If the account remains outstanding, it will be cancelled and the dumpster picked up. Finance charges may apply.
Service
What items are permitted in the dumpster?
Permitted items include: paper, plastics, yard trimmings, food waste, and wood/tree limbs cut to 2-foot lengths. All items must fit inside the dumpster without protruding. Bagged trash is preferred.
What items are NOT allowed in the dumpster?
Disallowed items include: roofing material, construction material, concrete, rocks, gravel, dirt, batteries, metal, hazardous chemicals, tires, oil, grease, and excessive pallets. Items too large for the dumpster should be taken to the landfill, which is open to the public.
Are there other rules I should know?
Yes — keep lids closed at all times. Do not park in front of the dumpster. No one should play, climb on, into, or around dumpsters.
Roll-Off
What clearance does a roll-off truck need?
The truck needs approximately 60 feet of approach space and at least 23 feet of vertical clearance.
What happens if my dumpster is overloaded?
An overloaded dumpster is a safety hazard. A Haul Fee will be charged and the container will NOT be emptied if it is overloaded. Please do not overfill past the top of the container.
Safety
Are there safety rules around dumpsters?
Yes — keep lids closed at all times. Do not park in front of the dumpster. No one should play, climb on, into, or around dumpsters. Overloaded containers are a safety hazard and will not be serviced.
